Dubai Airport was established in 1959 by the order or the ruler Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and was the first airport that was built in UAE, at that time the airport only had one run way.

Dubai International Airport Terminal 1 – also called the Sheikh Rashid Terminal, this is the main heart of Dubai International Airport. The terminal has installed passenger clearance system, known as e-gate, which uses a smartcard to screen passenger’s data. Terminal 1 compromise of 5 levels, Dubai duty free, the second floor is for departure, the 3rd floor for arrival, the last 2 levels are for airport hotel. The terminal have 27 boarding gates, 47 aerobridges and has 36 lounges which consists of first class, business class, airline, quite lounge and regular or economy lounges for terminal 1 travelers. Also terminal one consist of business centre, health clubs, exchanges, dining and entertainment, internet services, medical service and even post office.
Dubai International Airport Terminal 2 – terminal 2 was built in 1998, it serves as an expansion of the Dubai Airport. Terminal 2 can be accessed from AL Twar Road, serves executive flights and point to point schedule as well as regional flights.
Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 – serves as an expansion of terminal , this part serves Emirates Airlines flights.
